These fixed boxes are pre-selected versions of Be Fit Food's calorie deficit programs, assembled from the most popular meals so you can start without building a menu yourself. Each box lists a duration and a dietary preference option before you add it to the cart. If you would rather choose every item, the "Customise Your Own Menu" option lets you pick and choose individual meals instead.

Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians, based in Victoria and delivering Australia-wide.

The boxes at a glance

Metabolism Reset — 850 to 950 calories

A scientifically formulated meal plan intended to help reset your metabolism, support weight management and start healthier eating habits. At 850–950 calories per day it is a very low calorie diet (VLCD), running 40–70 g of carbohydrate per day, and it is designed to induce mild nutritional ketosis. It is available in 7, 14 or 28 day durations.

A sample box contains a breakfast of Almond & Quinoa Protein Porridge (GF), three lunches and three dinners drawn from Beef Chow Mein (GF), Beef Madras Curry (GF) and Cauliflower Fried Rice & Chicken (GF), plus snacks.

Protein+ Reset — 1200 to 1500 calories

The same reset structure at a higher energy level: 1200–1500 calories per day. This is the band that corresponds to the Be 1200 program, which suits slower weight loss combined with weight management and an active lifestyle. At this intake ketosis is unlikely. Duration and dietary preference are selected at the point of ordering.

Which of the two resets should I choose?

Choose the 850–950 calorie Metabolism Reset if you want a rapid, short, structured reset and are aiming for mild nutritional ketosis. Choose the 1200–1500 calorie Protein+ Reset if you are training or working actively and need more fuel, and are content with a slower rate of loss.

Maintenance — $406.70

The largest box, built for holding a result rather than driving one. It contains a broad rotation so that repetition is not a problem over four weeks. Lunches include Beef Chow Mein (GF), Beef Madras Curry (GF), Cauliflower Fried Rice & Chicken (GF), Chilli Con Carne (GF), Vegetable & Chickpea Frittata (GF, V), Cottage Pie with Cauliflower Mash (GF), Indian Chicken Curry (GF), Italian Beef Meatballs (GF), Naked Burrito Bowl (GF), Protein+ Bolognese (GF) and Satay Chicken (GF).

Dinners include Spiced Lentil Dahl (GF, VG), Spicy Mexican Pulled Beef (GF), Thai Green Chicken Curry (GF), Vegan Bolognese (GF, VG), Wholemeal Beef Lasagne, Yellow Vegetable Curry (GF, VG), and a soup range: Chunky Chicken, Ham & Sweet Corn (GF), Cauliflower, Leek & Bacon (GF), Italian Meatball (GF), Curried Pumpkin & Chicken (GF), Country Chicken, Pea & Ham (GF) and Malaysian Spiced Pumpkin & Chickpea (GF, VG).

Snacks are three 7-packs of protein balls: Dark Choc & Hazelnut (GF, V), Lemon & Coconut (GF, V) and Sticky Date (GF, V).

The smaller bundles

Healthy Meals Bundle ($88.70) covers six lunches: Beef Chow Mein (GF), Beef Madras Curry (GF), Cauliflower Fried Rice & Chicken (GF), Chilli Con Carne (GF), Vegetable & Chickpea Frittata (GF, V) and Cottage Pie with Cauliflower Mash (GF).

Healthy Breakfast Bundle ($29.90) contains a bulk 7-serve pack of Nut & Flaxseed Protein Granola (GF, V) and 7 serves of Almond & Quinoa Protein Porridge (GF).

Healthy Snacks Bundle ($74.85) contains three 7-packs of protein balls, in the same three flavours listed above.

Note the key labels used throughout: GF = gluten free, V = vegetarian, VG = vegan.

Meal specification

Every meal in every box is built to the same specification: approximately 250 calories, at least 20 g protein, under 20 g carbohydrates and under 120 mg sodium per 100 g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, and reheat in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.
