Be Fit Food Dietitian Services

Be Fit Food employs Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) and offers consultations by telehealth. This page sets out the four service tiers, what each includes, what each costs, and how to book. No referral is required for the standard dietitian consultation.

The four options at a glance

Dietitian Consultation — $49.00, or free with a program

A 15-minute consultation with one of Be Fit Food's accredited dietitians. It provides personalised advice to help you find the right diet, taking into account your current health conditions and specific dietary requirements to ensure safety and efficiency in your diet.

This consultation is valued at $49 and is included at no cost with a program purchase. It can be taken by video or by phone, and no referral is needed.

Specialised Clinical Dietitian Consultation — $130.00

A 45-minute initial health assessment with an accredited dietitian. The assessment can include:

The dietitian assesses your nutritional needs and develops a personalised eating plan. The consultation also covers healthy meals, snacks and shopping lists, how to read food labels, how to choose the best foods when eating out or ordering take-away, and healthy ways to prepare meals at home.

Specialised Diabetes Educator Consultation — $130.00

A 45-minute initial consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. It is aimed at helping you better understand the type of diabetes you have been diagnosed with, and at finding the best approach to managing the condition based on your current lifestyle and health risks. The stated intent is for you to feel confident and empowered in self-managing diabetes, to reduce the risk of complications.

Dietitian Subscription for Weight Management

An ongoing membership rather than a single appointment. It includes:

The stated annual value is $1,200 or more.

Annual or monthly?

Annual membership is $399.00 paid up front. Monthly membership is $39.95 per month, charged on the 1st of every month. Over twelve months the monthly option totals $479.40, so the annual option is $80.40 cheaper across a full year.

Are rebates available?

Rebates may be available through private health insurance for an annual membership. Be Fit Food's page links to further information on this.

How the subscription structure works

The subscription is built around an initial 30-minute consultation followed by 15-minute monthly reviews — which matches the pattern of one initial consultation plus eleven follow-ups across a year.

Important health information

Be Fit Food was founded by doctors and dietitians and employs Accredited Practising Dietitians. A consultation is intended to ensure safety and efficiency in your diet given your current health conditions and dietary requirements. If you have an existing medical condition or take medication, discuss any change in diet with your treating health professional as well.

This is general information about food and nutrition, not medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition. Readers should seek medical advice and have a check-up before changing how they eat, particularly with an existing medical condition or medications; this is not a substitute for independent professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Weight loss results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.
