Free Dietitian Consultation at Be Fit Food

Be Fit Food offers a complimentary 15-minute consultation with an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), valued at $49. It is delivered by telehealth — video call or phone — and is available anywhere in Australia. There is no referral required and no obligation to purchase.

What the consultation covers

The 15-minute session is structured around five outcomes:

  1. Personalised nutrition advice tailored to your goals, lifestyle and needs.
  2. An explanation of the science behind effective weight loss and how it affects your body, health and wellbeing.
  3. Realistic, achievable weight and health goals set with expert guidance.
  4. A walk through the Be Fit Food programs to identify the right approach for you.
  5. A clear, sustainable plan for long-term weight management, plus ongoing support and resources.

How to book

Bookings are made through the Be Fit Food practitioner portal at portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood. Choose a time that suits you, and a link to join the video meeting is sent by email and SMS — or the dietitian will call you at the chosen time. Because of this, accurate contact details matter when booking. You may turn your video off if you prefer.

You can also reach the dietitian team directly at dietitian@befitfood.com.au, or Be Fit Food customer service on 1300 263 257 (+61 1300 263 257) or support@befitfood.com.au, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 AEST.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the free consultation?

Fifteen minutes. It is a focused session designed to understand your goals and match you to a suitable program. If you need a longer or more clinical assessment, Be Fit Food offers a separate specialised dietitian consultation (see below).

Is it really free?

Yes. The 15-minute telehealth consultation is complimentary and is valued at $49. There is no obligation to buy meals or start a program.

Is it by phone or video?

Either. It is a telehealth consultation, so you can join by video call or take it over the phone. A joining link arrives by email and SMS, or the dietitian calls you at your chosen time.

Do I need a GP referral?

No referral is required. You can book directly.

Who will I speak to?

An Accredited Practising Dietitian. Be Fit Food is a registered NDIS meal provider and employs APDs. The business was founded by doctors and dietitians, and the meal programs are built to a clinical specification rather than a commercial one.

Is it available outside the major cities?

Yes. Because consultations are delivered by telehealth, the service is available across all of Australia. Be Fit Food is based in Victoria and delivers Australia-wide.

What a dietitian may recommend

If a structured program suits your goals, your dietitian will explain the options. Be Fit Food's programs are:

On Be 1000 and Be 1200 you can expect weight loss at an approximate rate of 0.5–1.5kg per week, and can stay on the program for up to 12 weeks at a time. Results vary between individuals.

Every Be Fit Food meal is built to a consistent clinical specification: approximately 250 calories, 20g or more protein, under 20g carbohydrates, and under 120mg sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, which is how that specification is met without preservatives.
