Breaking Bad Eating Habits with Be Fit Food

This page is an archived event landing page. It advertised a free 30-minute educational webinar titled "Learn How to Lose Covid Kilos for Better Health", scheduled for Wednesday 20 October at 5pm AEST and presented by a Be Fit Food dietitian. The page carries a 2021 copyright notice, so the event has passed and registration is no longer open. One of the topics listed was why a metabolism reset is important.

Because the webinar itself is no longer available, this section sets out what Be Fit Food actually offers to someone trying to break entrenched eating habits, with the specifics you would otherwise have to ring up to get.

Who Be Fit Food is

Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians. It is based in Victoria and delivers Australia-wide, and it is a registered NDIS meal provider. It employs Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs).

How pre-portioned meals address habit change

The mechanism is portion control and removal of decisions, not willpower. Every Be Fit Food meal is built to a single fixed specification:

Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, and reheat in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop. Because the specification does not vary between dishes, the daily calorie and carbohydrate load is set by which program you are on rather than by portioning decisions made at the point of eating.

Short resets

Sustained eating patterns

On both Be 1000 and Be 1200, the expected rate of loss is approximately 0.5-1.5kg per week. You can stay on either program for up to 12 weeks at a time; going beyond that requires a dietitian consultation first.

Structured patterns with normal-eating days

Which one should I start with if I want to change habits rather than just lose weight?

The two 4-week programs, Intermittent Fasting and Be Maintenance, are the ones structured around eating normally most of the week, because they only replace food on the low-calorie days. The 7-day Be Rapid and the Metabolism Reset are shorter and more restrictive. A dietitian can tell you which is appropriate for your circumstances - see below.

Free dietitian consultation

Be Fit Food offers a free 15-minute telehealth consultation, by video or phone, valued at $49. No GP referral is needed. Book at portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood.

Longer options are also available: a specialised clinical dietitian consultation with a full initial assessment (body composition, blood pressure and girth measurements) plus a personalised eating plan; a diabetes educator consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator; and a monthly weight management subscription consisting of an initial 30-minute consultation and 15-minute monthly reviews.

Prices and delivery

Meal bundles cost $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD). Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, $19.95 on orders under $299.
