28 Day Metabolism Reset Winter Challenge

This page describes Be Fit Food's seasonal 28 Day Challenge, run as a Winter Challenge built around the Metabolism Reset program. As set out on the page, the challenge starts 1 June, with registrations opening 18 May and closing 31 May, and runs for four weeks through June. Pricing is shown on the page as starting from $299.97 per week. Dates and pricing are as published on Be Fit Food's page; check it for the current round before relying on them.

What the challenge is

The page describes the challenge as designed to help participants break the cycle of "starting over" and build momentum that lasts, over four weeks in which the food is supplied, decisions are simplified and a support system is included. Alongside the challenge, the page offers 10% off all 7, 14 and 28 Day Metabolism Reset programs, with the code WINTER at checkout for those who prefer to do the program on their own rather than join the group challenge.

Metabolism Reset itself is a very low calorie diet of approximately 850–950 calories per day with 40–70g of carbohydrate per day, available in 7, 14 or 28 day lengths, and it induces mild nutritional ketosis.

How to join

The page sets out three steps:

Note that the full 28 day program delivers four weeks of food in a single delivery, which is why the page raises freezer space as a consideration.

What is included

The page states that each day's delivery includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks. Participants can top up using the Recommended Extras Guide, which covers low-starch vegetable and salad items, protein-based snacks and low-carb fruit options. Because each meal carries approximately the same number of calories, the page says meals can be mixed and matched freely, provided everything for the day is eaten.

The page also lists partner inclusions for challengers: a one month free Bodymapp membership for 3D body scan progress tracking, one month free access to the KX Pilates online workout platform, and a free The Soak by The Set.Co.

Meal selection and dietary requirements

The page states that participants can choose from the entire range and customise the program to taste and to dietary requirements such as gluten free or vegetarian. It adds that anyone with specific health needs should book a free consultation with a dietitian before ordering.

Results the page reports

These are the figures and outcomes as stated on Be Fit Food's page, presented here as the page presents them rather than as independent findings. The page states that customers lose on average 5.89kg in two weeks, marked with an asterisk, and in its FAQ gives the figure as 5.8kg in two weeks. It states that in 14 days customers have reported that they notice improved mood and sleep quality, reduced blood glucose levels, blood pressure and cholesterol, enhanced gut health, and weight loss, and that 28 days deepens those results. These are described on the page as customer reports.

Food, alcohol and staying on program

The page advises sticking to the supplied food where possible, and if eating elsewhere, choosing lean meats with salads or vegetables while watching for chips, pasta, added sauces and dressings, and alcoholic drinks. It notes that if a higher-carbohydrate meal takes the body out of ketosis it should not be for long, and mentions a 12–16 hour overnight fast as a way to assist returning to ketosis, giving the example of eating between 12pm and 8pm and fasting from 8pm to 12pm.

On alcohol, the page recommends avoiding it during the 28 day challenge, noting that alcohol contains additional calories, carbohydrate and sugar and affects the liver. For occasional drinks it suggests a low-carbohydrate spirit such as vodka with soda water and lime, or a glass of red wine.

Maintaining results afterwards

The page recommends adding a dietitian consult at the end of the challenge, and states that when weight loss is achieved it is important to follow an active weight maintenance program supporting behavioural therapy, nutritional education and exercise. It points to the Weight Management Program and to the Be Fit Food dietitians.

Challenge competition terms

The page includes competition terms for three prizes, each a Weight Management Program valued at $436: Best Transformation, Most Engaged, and Most Inspired Meal Idea. To be eligible, participants must complete the challenge release form and attend all dietitian consults and education sessions during the challenge period, and share results including before and after photos, measurements and food images in the private Facebook group or by email to support@befitfood.com.au. Winners are announced in the second week of July once all results are in. The page also states that a $100 voucher is given for all before and after photos sent to support@befitfood.com.au.

Delivery, education sessions and contact

The page states delivery time depends on the delivery area and ranges from 3 to 10 days from order, and directs readers to the delivery days and cut-off times page. Links to the online education sessions and Q&A are sent by email throughout June. Delivery is charged at a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more and $19.95 under $299.
