NSW Cut-Off Updates for April 23rd, 2020 (ANZAC Day)

This page is an archived delivery notice. It records a one-off change to New South Wales order cut-off times caused by the ANZAC Day public holiday in April 2020. It is retained for reference and does not describe Be Fit Food's current standing cut-off schedule.

What the notice said

Because of the ANZAC holiday that weekend, the New South Wales cut-off on Thursday 23 April — for delivery on Wednesday 29 April — was set at 9:00am AEST.

Which delivery routes were affected

The revised cut-off applied to three NSW routes:

Routes outside those three were not covered by this particular notice.

Reading a cut-off notice

A cut-off notice has three moving parts, and they are easy to confuse:

Note that the time zone matters. This notice was written in AEST. If you are ordering from a state on a different time offset, convert to your local clock before assuming you have made the cut-off.

Why do public holidays move cut-offs?

Frozen meal deliveries run on fixed transport routes. When a public holiday removes a working day from that route, the schedule has to compress, and the order deadline moves earlier so the run can still be packed and dispatched. ANZAC Day is one of the holidays that regularly does this, along with Easter and the Christmas–New Year period. The practical effect for customers is that the usual deadline for a given delivery day cannot be relied upon during a holiday week.

Does this notice still apply?

No. It relates to specific dates in April 2020 and has passed. Treat it as a historical record. For the cut-off and delivery days that apply to your route now, check Be Fit Food's current delivery days and cut-offs information, or confirm directly with customer service before placing a time-sensitive order.

What happens if I miss a cut-off?

Missing a cut-off does not cancel an order; it moves it to the next available delivery run for your route. If you are working through a structured program and are relying on food arriving before you run out, the safest approach during a holiday week is to order a run early rather than aim for the deadline.

Ordering around a holiday week

Be Fit Food meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, so they keep in the freezer and can be reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop when you need them. That makes it straightforward to bring an order forward ahead of a public holiday rather than trying to land a delivery in a compressed week.

Meal bundles are priced at $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD). Delivery is charged at a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, and $19.95 on orders under $299. Ordering a larger bundle ahead of a holiday period is often simpler than splitting an order across a disrupted delivery week.
