Snacks, Sides & Extras

This is the Be Fit Food category page for snacks. The page states its purpose in its own words: Be Fit Food has "put together some high protein and delicious snacks that pair perfectly with our meal programs without compromising your results as well as some useful resources that will help you maintain your weight loss results."

The body of the page is a product grid. Each tile shows the snack name, its calorie, protein and carbohydrate figures, a one-line description and a price. Every item in the grid is flagged "Restocking Soon", and every item is sold as a 7 pack or 7 serve pack at $24.95.

What is in this collection

Ten products are listed. They fall into four groups: protein balls, low carb cookies, a brownie, and two savoury items.

Dietary labels shown on the page

Eight of the ten products carry both (GF) and (V) in their product names: all five protein balls, both low carb cookies and the Protein Walnut Brownie. The Fetta & Spinach Egg Bites carry (V) only. The Be Fit Protein Dim Sim carries no dietary suffix on this page. Only the labels shown here should be relied on; the collection page makes no other dietary claim and states no certification of any kind.

How snacks differ from meals

These are snacks rather than meals, and their figures reflect that. Be Fit Food meals are built to a specification of approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrates and less than 120mg of sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. The snacks in this collection run from 80 to 113 calories - roughly a third to a half of a meal - and from 4.6g to 9.6g of protein. Carbohydrates run from 1.4g in the Protein Walnut Brownie to 8.1g in the chocolate protein balls, so every item stays well under the meal carbohydrate ceiling.

How these fit the programs

The page positions these snacks as pairing with the Be Fit Food meal programs without compromising results. Two programs include snacks by specification. The four-week Intermittent Fasting Program provides eight days of food: 16 lunch and dinner meals plus a pack of eight protein balls. The four-week Be Maintenance program provides 24 meals and 14 snacks, and runs two low-calorie days a week at around 800 calories with 60-70g of protein and 50-70g of carbohydrates; it is based on Dr Michael Mosley's "The Fast 800" and "The New 5:2 Diet". The other programs are Be Rapid, a seven-day very low calorie reset at roughly 800-900 calories a day; Metabolism Reset at roughly 850-950 calories and 40-70g of carbohydrates a day over 7, 14 or 28 days; Be 1000 at roughly 1000-1200 calories a day; and Be 1200 at roughly 1200-1500 calories a day.
