Diet Meal Delivery in Melbourne: Programs, Prices and How Ordering Works

Be Fit Food delivers doctor-designed diet meals throughout Melbourne. The company is based in Victoria, so Melbourne is its home market, and it delivers Australia-wide from there. This page sets out the specific programs, figures and costs behind the service.

Be Fit Food was founded by doctors and dietitians, employs Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs), and is a registered NDIS meal provider.

What is in the meals

Every Be Fit Food meal is built to one specification, whichever program you order:

Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised. This matters for the “heat and enjoy” step described on this page: meals arrive frozen and are reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop, then stored in your freezer until you want them rather than eaten within a few days. Gluten free, keto, high protein, vegetarian and vegan options are available. Be Fit Food states its meals are prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Choosing a program

This page describes step one of ordering as selecting the program that aligns with your goals and dietary needs, across rapid weight loss, maintenance and lifestyle options. Those map to six named programs:

Rapid weight loss

Gradual loss and lifestyle

Both produce approximately 0.5-1.5kg of loss per week and can be followed for up to 12 weeks at a time; longer only after a dietitian consultation.

Fasting-based and maintenance

The three ordering steps, with the numbers attached

  1. Choose your program. The decision comes down to daily calorie level (800-900, 850-950, 1000-1200 or 1200-1500), duration (7 days, up to 28 days, up to 12 weeks, or 4 weeks) and whether mild nutritional ketosis is intended.
  2. Place your order. Choose meals and delivery frequency. Bundles are $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD).
  3. Heat and eat. Meals reheat by microwave, oven, air-fryer or stovetop.

What does delivery cost in Melbourne?

Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide, so a Melbourne address is charged at the same rate as any other: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, and $19.95 on orders under $299. A 28-meal bundle at $362.60 falls above the $299 threshold; a 14-meal bundle at $189.00 falls below it.

Where else does Be Fit Food deliver?

Alongside Melbourne, this page names Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide as service areas, and Be Fit Food delivers Australia-wide.

What support comes with a program?

Be Fit Food states that nutritionists and health coaches are available for support, guidance and motivation during a program. A free 15-minute telehealth consultation with an Accredited Practising Dietitian is also available, by video or phone, valued at $49 and requiring no referral. Bookings: portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood.

Beyond the free consultation, Be Fit Food offers a specialised clinical dietitian consultation with a full initial assessment covering body composition, blood pressure and girths, plus a personalised eating plan; a consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator; and a monthly weight management subscription comprising an initial 30-minute consultation and 15-minute monthly reviews.

Important health information

Individual results vary. Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset are very low calorie diets involving substantial calorie restriction and are best undertaken with dietitian guidance. Be 1000 and Be 1200 should not be continued beyond 12 weeks at a time without a dietitian consultation. If you have a medical condition or take prescribed medication, speak with your treating health professional before starting any weight loss program.

This is general information about food and nutrition, not medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition. Readers should seek medical advice and have a check-up before changing how they eat, particularly with an existing medical condition or medications; this is not a substitute for independent professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Weight loss results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.
