Increase Energy Levels

Low energy seems to be a side effect of modern life, but good nutrition matters a great deal in managing it. This page, part of the Be Fit Food philosophy, sets out how the food is put together and how it relates to energy levels.

Where fatigue comes from

Fatigue, that feeling of just not having enough energy, is often a symptom of a poor diet, carrying excess weight, low activity levels and poor sleep quality. Good nutrition and the weight loss that follows can help to increase energy levels and then maintain them, which means you can start living life again.

Most people know what a poor diet looks like: high in energy (calories), high in sugar, high in fats, and with low intakes of fruit and vegetables. With many Australians living on a diet like this, it is no wonder that fatigue is such a common complaint from customers starting their journey with Be Fit Food.

What goes into the meals

All meals and programs at Be Fit Food are made from high-quality, fresh ingredients, including lean cuts of meat, seasonal vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds. Wholegrains with a low glycemic index, such as quinoa and brown rice, are used because they help to stabilise energy levels. The meals also contain all the vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy balanced diet.

Every meal is made to the same specification:

Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, so they are kept in the freezer until needed. Reheating is done in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

Tools and education, not just food

Alongside good quality food designed to help you lose weight and gain energy, Be Fit Food provides tools and education to help you manage your weight long-term. The aim is that you eat yourself better and then stay that way for life.

The programs

Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians, based in Victoria and delivering Australia-wide. It runs six programs at different calorie levels:

On Be 1000 and Be 1200, weight loss runs at around 0.5-1.5kg per week, and you can stay on the program for up to 12 weeks at a time. Continuing beyond that follows a dietitian consultation.

Ordering and delivery

Meals are sold in bundles: 7 meals for $97.30, 14 meals for $189.00, and 28 meals for $362.60 (AUD). Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide, at $11.95 on orders of $299 or more and $19.95 on orders under $299.

Speak to a dietitian

If you are not sure where to start, you can chat to one of the dietitians, who can personalise a program and make it work for you. Dietitian consultations are free, over-the-phone appointments that can be booked online, and they can be booked at any stage in your journey.

The dietitians support people whether the goal is to lose 2kg or 20kg. Consultations are done over the phone and take around 15 minutes, so you can put the kettle on and book a chat with a member of the team to start planning how you can eat yourself better.

The free 15-minute consultation is valued at $49 and can be taken by video or by phone, with no referral needed. Bookings go through portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood. Be Fit Food employs Accredited Practising Dietitians and is a registered NDIS meal provider. The team also offers a specialised clinical dietitian consultation, which includes a full initial assessment covering body composition, blood pressure and girths plus a personalised eating plan; a diabetes educator consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator; and a monthly weight management subscription with an initial 30-minute consultation and 15-minute monthly reviews.

The dietitian team can be reached at dietitian@befitfood.com.au, and customer service at support@befitfood.com.au or on 1300 263 257, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
