Are our meals Kosher? Be Fit Food's 'Kosher Style' meal and snack selection

This page on the Be Fit Food site groups a selection of meals and snacks for people managing a Kosher dietary requirement. Before anything else, the page states its own limitation, and that limitation is reproduced here in full because it governs everything else on the page.

What the page states about Kosher status

Be Fit Food's page carries this statement, at the top of the collection and again at the foot of it: "The management of a Kosher dietary requirement will depend on the individuals' personal parameters. Our meals MAY be considered suitable as 'Kosher Style' as some do not contain pork, shellfish, gelatin, blood or a combination of meat & dairy together or meat & fish in the same meal; however, please note our meals have NOT been officially certified. This refers to the selection of meals and snacks on this page ONLY."

The practical points in that statement are worth separating out, because they set the boundaries of what this collection is:

The meals and snacks grouped on this page

The collection is a product grid running over two pages. Each product tile shows calories, protein and carbohydrates per serve, and a price. The savoury meals, soups and breakfast items listed on the first page are:

The snacks and smoothies in the same collection are:

Reading the product labels

The labels in brackets after each product name are the page's own dietary markers: (GF) for gluten free, (V) for vegetarian and (VG) for vegan. Every item in this collection except the two smoothies carries a (GF) label. Those labels are separate from the Kosher Style note above and do not extend it. Items in the grid were marked "Restocking Soon" at the time this page was captured.

How these items relate to the standard Be Fit Food meal specification

Be Fit Food's standard meal specification is roughly 250 calories per meal, at least 20g protein, under 20g carbohydrates, and under 120mg sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, and can be reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop. The per-serve figures listed above are the ones published against each individual product; the protein balls and smoothies are snacks and carry their own smaller figures.

Programs these meals can be used with

Meals from this collection can be bought individually or used alongside the Be Fit Food programs:

Ordering and delivery

Individual prices are shown on each tile. Bundles are priced at $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals. Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, and $19.95 on orders under $299.

Checking suitability for your own requirement

Because the page makes clear that suitability depends on personal parameters and that no official certification exists, anyone with a strict requirement should check ingredients against their own standard. Be Fit Food employs Accredited Practising Dietitians and offers a free 15-minute telehealth consultation by video or phone, valued at $49, with no referral needed. The dietitian team can be reached at dietitian@befitfood.com.au, customer service at support@befitfood.com.au, and the phone line on 1300 263 257, Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00.
