Pre Cooked Meals Delivered Australia-Wide

Be Fit Food supplies nutritionally balanced pre cooked meals and structured meal programs, created by a team that includes doctors and dietitians. The meals arrive fully prepared, so there is no cooking, weighing or portioning at your end. This page sets out the meal specification, the programs the meals are grouped into, and how the programs differ from one another.

What every pre cooked meal contains

Be Fit Food produces to a single nutritional specification, which is why meals within a program are interchangeable:

Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised. They are stored in the freezer and reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

The low-carbohydrate approach

Be Fit Food's lowest-calorie programs are formulated to bring the body into a state of mild nutritional ketosis, in which stored fat rather than dietary carbohydrate is used as fuel. Reducing carbohydrate also reduces the refined, processed and sugary foods in the diet, which is a separate benefit from the ketosis itself.

Not every program is designed to reach ketosis, and it is worth being precise about which do and which do not.

Rapid weight loss programs

Be Rapid - 7 days

A very low calorie diet (VLCD) at approximately 800-900 calories per day, run as a 7-day reset. It induces mild nutritional ketosis. The program supplies the food, resources and dietitian support to lose weight through eating real, nutritionally balanced food.

Metabolism Reset - 7, 14 or 28 days

A very low calorie diet at approximately 850-950 calories per day, with 40-70 g of carbohydrate per day. It also induces mild nutritional ketosis. It is available as a 7-day, 14-day or 28-day program, which makes it the most flexible of the VLCD options.

Gradual weight loss programs

Be 1000

Approximately 1000-1200 calories per day, following a low-carbohydrate and nutritionally complete approach. It suits gradual weight loss or maintaining a loss you have already achieved. Be 1000 is unlikely to induce ketosis.

Be 1200

Approximately 1200-1500 calories per day. This is the most flexible eating approach in the range and suits slower weight loss combined with weight management, particularly for people with an active lifestyle or who train at higher intensity. Be 1200 is also unlikely to induce ketosis.

On both Be 1000 and Be 1200, the expected rate of loss is approximately 0.5-1.5 kg per week. You can stay on either program for up to 12 weeks at a time; continuing beyond 12 weeks should follow a dietitian consultation.

Fasting-based programs

Intermittent Fasting Program

A four-week structure combining five days of healthy eating with two fasting days per week at 500-600 calories. The program supplies eight days of food: 16 meals covering lunch and dinner, plus a pack of eight protein balls.

Be Maintenance

A four-week program supplying 24 meals and 14 snacks, with two low-calorie days per week at approximately 800 calories (60-70 g protein, 50-70 g carbohydrate). It is based on Dr Michael Mosley's "The Fast 800" and "The New 5:2 Diet".

Important health information

Very low calorie diets, including Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset, are not appropriate for everyone. Individual results vary. Speak with a dietitian or your treating healthcare team before beginning a very low calorie or low carbohydrate program, particularly if you have an existing health condition or take prescribed medication. The free 15-minute telehealth consultation is available for this purpose.

This is general information about food and nutrition, not medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition. Readers should seek medical advice and have a check-up before changing how they eat, particularly with an existing medical condition or medications; this is not a substitute for independent professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Weight loss results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.
