Be Fit Food Program Quiz: Which Program Is Right For You

This page hosts a short quiz that matches you to a Be Fit Food program. If you would rather compare the programs directly, the sections below set out the calorie range, duration and intended use of each one, so you can reach the same answer without completing the quiz.

Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians, based in Victoria and delivering Australia-wide.

The six Be Fit Food programs at a glance

Programs differ mainly in daily calorie intake and in whether they are designed to induce mild nutritional ketosis, a state in which the body burns stored fat rather than carbohydrates for fuel.

How to narrow the choice yourself

Do you want the fastest possible reset?

Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset are the two VLCD options and the only two designed to induce mild nutritional ketosis. Be Rapid runs as a 7-day reset. Metabolism Reset offers 7, 14 or 28-day durations, so it is the option to choose if you want a reset longer than one week.

Do you want steady loss rather than a rapid reset?

Be 1000 and Be 1200 sit above the VLCD range and are unlikely to induce ketosis. Expected loss on either is approximately 0.5–1.5kg per week. You can stay on Be 1000 or Be 1200 for up to 12 weeks at a time; continuing beyond 12 weeks is only recommended after a dietitian consultation.

Are you active or training regularly?

Be 1200 is the higher-calorie option at approximately 1200–1500 calories per day and is the program aligned with an active lifestyle or HIIT training.

Do you prefer a fasting pattern to daily restriction?

Both the Intermittent Fasting Program and Be Maintenance use a pattern of ordinary eating punctuated by lower-calorie days, rather than restricting every day. The Intermittent Fasting Program uses two fasting days per week at 500–600 calories. Be Maintenance uses two low-calorie days per week at approximately 800 calories.

Have you already lost the weight?

Be Maintenance and Be 1000 are the two options oriented towards holding a loss rather than creating one.

What every Be Fit Food meal contains

Whichever program the quiz returns, the meals themselves share one specification: approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrate, and less than 120mg of sodium per 100g. There is no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives. Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, and can be reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

Prices and delivery

Meal bundles are priced at $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD). Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, and $19.95 on orders under $299.

Get a dietitian to answer instead

If the quiz does not settle it, Be Fit Food offers a free 15-minute telehealth consultation, by video or phone, valued at $49. No referral is needed. Consultations are with Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs).
