Be Fit Food for The Royal Melbourne Hospital Staff

This is the corporate landing page for staff of The Royal Melbourne Hospital. It sets out a VIP Corporates discount, three ways to start, and the discounted prices attached to two of them. Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians, based in Victoria and delivering Australia-wide.

The three packages

7 Day Metabolism Refresh - $199.95 (RRP $219.95)

A quick one-week refresh, aimed at feeling lighter and more energetic with some weight loss if that is what you want from it. The plan can be customised around your goals with a dietitian at no charge. Saving against RRP: $20.00.

14 Day Metabolism Reset - $359.95 (RRP $409.95)

Two weeks of meals and snacks. The page states this fully resets your metabolism and can produce a loss of up to 5 kg in two weeks, with more energy, better sleep and better skin among the reported benefits. Individual results vary. Free dietitian customisation is included. Saving against RRP: $50.00.

Choose your own healthy meals and snacks

If you would rather not follow a program, you can shop the full range - meals, snacks and on-the-go smoothies - and keep them in the freezer for whenever you or your family need them. The same $50 off the first order and 10% off subsequent orders applies.

What the two programs are

Both packages are durations of Metabolism Reset, a very low calorie diet (VLCD) providing approximately 850-950 calories per day with 40-70 g of carbohydrate per day, designed to induce mild nutritional ketosis. It is available over 7, 14 or 28 days. Many customers start with a reset or refresh and then incorporate the meals into ordinary life afterwards.

What is in every meal

Meals are interchangeable because they all meet the same targets, so you can choose on taste.

Why snap-frozen rather than chilled or shelf-stable?

Be Fit Food meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised. According to this page, snap-freezing means the food is higher in nutrients, has not been gassed, does not contain any added preservatives, and prevents wastage. Meals are reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

The rest of the range

Be 1000 and Be 1200 are the programs suited to shift patterns and longer-term management: expect approximately 0.5-1.5 kg per week, and you can stay on either for up to 12 weeks at a time, with a dietitian consultation needed before continuing longer.

Standard pricing and delivery, outside the packages

Meal bundles are $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD). Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, $19.95 on orders under $299. Both discounted packages above sit above $299, so they attract the $11.95 rate.

Complimentary dietitian guidance

You can speak to a dietitian at any time about goals for yourself or your family, whether you want to lose weight or just want advice. The free consultation runs for 15 minutes by video or phone, is valued at $49, and requires no referral. Book at portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood.

Be Fit Food employs Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs). Further services include a specialised clinical dietitian consultation with a full initial assessment (body composition, blood pressure, girths) plus a personalised eating plan, a diabetes educator consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, and a monthly weight management subscription of an initial 30-minute consultation with 15-minute monthly reviews.

Important health information

The customer comments shown on this page are individual experiences and are not a guarantee of results; individual results vary. Very low calorie diets, including the 7-day and 14-day Metabolism Reset packages, are not suitable for everyone. Speak with a dietitian or your treating healthcare team before starting a very low calorie or low carbohydrate program, particularly if you have an existing health condition or take prescribed medication. The free 15-minute telehealth consultation is available for that purpose.

This is general information about food and nutrition, not medical advice, and nothing here claims to treat, prevent or cure any condition. Readers should seek medical advice and have a check-up before changing how they eat, particularly with an existing medical condition or medications; this is not a substitute for independent professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Weight loss results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.
