Be Fit Man Program: 7-Day Meal Delivery for Men

The Be Fit Man 7 Day program is a weight loss program formulated specifically for men. It was developed by a doctor and a team of accredited dietitians, and is aimed at maintaining muscle mass while decreasing body fat percentage. It is designed for active men who participate in regular training or exercise.

Calories and how the program works

Be Fit Man supplies approximately 1200 calories per day. Compared with Be Fit Food's very low calorie programs, it deliberately provides extra calories and carbohydrates. Those extra calories need to be counteracted through exercise to help the body achieve a state of mild nutritional ketosis — the state in which the body burns stored fat rather than carbohydrates as fuel — for effective weight loss.

This is the central design trade-off: the additional fuel supports training and muscle retention, but it means the program depends on you being active. If you need more than approximately 1200 calories, Be Fit Food's qualified dietitians can help personalise the program.

What results can I expect?

Be Fit Food states that results suggest you can expect to shed around 5kg in 2 weeks. On average, a weight loss of between half a kilo and 2 kilos a week is considered successful weight loss. Results and rates of weight loss vary between individuals.

What a day on the program looks like

Every day on the program you receive:

You also receive a Recommended Extras Guide listing nutritious low-starch vegetables and salad items, protein-based snacks and low-carb fruit options to add alongside.

Each meal contains approximately the same number of calories, so you can mix and match them freely across the day — provided you eat everything allocated for the day to get maximum results.

How does Be Fit Man compare with Be Rapid, Metabolism Reset and Challenge Yourself?

Be Fit Man is 30% higher in protein and calories than the Be Rapid, Metabolism Reset and Challenge Yourself programs. The reason given is that men typically have a basal metabolic rate approximately 30% higher than women's. Be Fit Man also specifically targets abdominal fat while maintaining muscle mass.

Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset are very low calorie diets (VLCDs) — Be Rapid at approximately 800–900 calories per day as a 7-day reset, and Metabolism Reset at approximately 850–950 calories per day with 40–70g of carbohydrate daily, available as 7, 14 or 28 days. Both induce mild nutritional ketosis without requiring exercise, which makes them the more suitable option for men who are less active.

What if I want a longer or higher-calorie program?

Be Fit Food also runs Be 1000 (approximately 1000–1200 calories per day) and Be 1200 (approximately 1200–1500 calories per day, suited to an active lifestyle or HIIT training). Both produce weight loss of approximately 0.5–1.5kg per week and are unlikely to induce ketosis. You can stay on either for up to 12 weeks at a time; longer only after a dietitian consultation.

The meals themselves

Every Be Fit Food meal is built to the same specification: approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrate, and less than 120mg of sodium per 100g, with no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives.

How do I prepare the meals?

Meals are snap fresh frozen to lock in the nutrients. Heat them using a microwave, oven, air-fryer or the stovetop, following the instructions on the label or on the Be Fit Food website. Use the Recommended Extras Guide online for vegetables and salads to bulk up a meal.
