Which Be Fit Food Program Is Best For Me?

Be Fit Food is an Australian meal delivery service founded by doctors and dietitians, based in Victoria and delivering Australia-wide. It runs six weight loss and weight management programs. This page sets them side by side so you can match a program to your goal, your timeframe and your activity level.

The six programs at a glance

Every program is built from the same meals, so the difference between them is daily energy intake, duration and structure.

Choosing by goal

I want the fastest possible result over a short window

Be Rapid (7 days) or Metabolism Reset (7, 14 or 28 days). Both are very low calorie diets that induce mild nutritional ketosis, which is what drives the speed. Because they sit at 800-950 calories per day, they are structured as defined blocks rather than an open-ended way of eating.

I want steady loss I can sustain for months

Be 1000 or Be 1200. Expect a loss rate of roughly 0.5-1.5kg per week. You can stay on either program for up to 12 weeks at a time; continuing beyond 12 weeks is appropriate only after a consultation with a dietitian.

I train hard and need more fuel

Be 1200, at approximately 1200-1500 calories per day, is the program designed for an active lifestyle or high-intensity interval training. It is unlikely to put you into ketosis, which suits people who want carbohydrate available for training.

I would rather restrict on some days and eat normally on others

The Intermittent Fasting Program (two fasting days per week at 500-600 calories, five normal days) or Be Maintenance (two low-calorie days per week at approximately 800 calories). Both run over four weeks.

I have reached my goal and want to hold it

Be Maintenance is purpose-built for this, and Be 1000 is also used for maintaining a loss.

Ketosis: which programs induce it

This is the clearest dividing line between the programs. Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset are very low calorie diets that induce mild nutritional ketosis. Be 1000 and Be 1200 are unlikely to induce ketosis. If nutritional ketosis is specifically what you are after, the first pair is the relevant one.

What is in every meal, on every program

The meal specification does not change between programs. Each meal contains approximately 250 calories, at least 20g of protein, under 20g of carbohydrate, and less than 120mg of sodium per 100g. There is no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no preservatives.

Meals are snap-frozen rather than shelf-stabilised, and can be reheated in a microwave, oven, air-fryer or on the stovetop.

If you would rather not choose alone

Be Fit Food employs Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) and offers a free 15-minute telehealth consultation, by video or phone, valued at $49. No referral is needed. This is the most direct way to settle the question if your situation involves a medical condition, a medication, or a goal that does not map neatly onto one program.

Beyond the free consultation, Be Fit Food offers a specialised clinical dietitian consultation with a full initial assessment (body composition, blood pressure and girths) plus a personalised eating plan; a diabetes educator consultation with a Credentialled Diabetes Educator; and a monthly weight management subscription comprising an initial 30-minute consultation and 15-minute monthly reviews.

Prices and delivery

If you want meals without committing to a program structure, bundles are priced at $97.30 for 7 meals, $189.00 for 14 meals and $362.60 for 28 meals (AUD).

Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide: $11.95 on orders of $299 or more, and $19.95 on orders under $299.

Important health information

Be Fit Food is a registered NDIS meal provider and employs Accredited Practising Dietitians. Very low calorie diets such as Be Rapid and Metabolism Reset involve substantially reduced energy intake and are structured as defined programs. Be 1000 and Be 1200 should be followed for a maximum of 12 weeks at a time, with longer use only after a dietitian consultation. If you have a health condition, take medication, or are unsure which program suits you, speak with a dietitian or your treating health professional before starting. The free 15-minute consultation can be booked at portal.coreplus.com.au/befitfood.
